Ecorys Netherlands wants to expand its work in the field of EU health policy and gain a more prominent role on the EU market. As (senior) consultant in EU health policy and evaluation, you will play a key role in making this ambition come true.

Your workplace

We are a dedicated Health team at Ecorys Netherlands working on topics ranging from commercial determinants of health to infectious diseases to cancer. Our main clients in the EU are DG SANTE, HaDEA, ECDC, and the European Parliament. Our core services are economic and policy studies (e.g. impact assessments, evaluations) and technical assistance (e.g. management and coordination of European policy networks).

Your team

You will be part of a team of 22 consultants in the sector Inclusive Societies, Health, Justice and Migration. Our team consists of ambitious people. In addition to hard work, there is also ample attention given to social activities and personal development.

What do you bring?

You are a passionate professional and bring:

• You have at least 5 years of working experience in research consultancy including experience in EU health policy
• You have an academic background (MSc or PhD)
• You have excellent methodological skills in impact assessments and evaluations
• You have in-depth knowledge about and a relevant network on the EU market (e.g. DG SANTE, HaDEA, HERA)
• You have well-developed skills in leading bids, including an active role in writing proposals
• You have the capacity to deliver high-quality work within a limited period of time
• You are a strong communicator and are able to convey complex ideas and recommendations clearly and persuasively
• You are a team player and are accustomed to taking the lead
• You enjoy coaching junior colleagues

Our projects cover an array of subjects and clients in EU health policy. Some examples are:

• Study on job retention and return to work for cancer patients and survivors (HaDEA)
• Study in support of the evaluation and impact assessment of the EU general pharmaceuticals legislation (DG SANTE)
• The European public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic: Lessons for future cross-border health threats (European Parliament)
• Exchange programme for European Reference Networks (HaDEA)
• Study on Enhancing implementation of the Cross-Border Healthcare Directive 2011/24/EU to ensure patient rights in the EU (Chafea)
• Study on the exposure of children to marketing of HFSS foods on linear and non-linear AV media services and other online services (DG SANTE)
• Study on health promotion and disease prevention in health and educational settings (Chafea)
• Evaluation of Tuberculosis Disease Programme (ECDC)
