Job description

We invite applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level . In the strategy economics research group we focus on applied industrial organization, entrepreneurship, innovation and/or regional and urban economics. The group is uniquely placed at the intersection of economics and business studies targeting top publications in both general economics and management journals.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related field. Primary selection criteria will be outstanding research potential and teaching capabilities. Willingness to learn or ability to speak Dutch is considered a plus.

Employment starts in September 2024, and runs for an initial fixed period of 6 years. The decision to grant tenure and extend to a permanent contract can be taken as of the 3rd contract year. Promotion to associate professor will be considered at the end of the 6-year period. The position involves a teaching load of approximately 2,5 courses per academic year plus theses supervision.

You will be based at in Erasmus School of Economics (ESE). This position is for 1 fte. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 4.332 to a maximum of € 5.929 gross per month (scale 11) on a fulltime basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU.
