What you'll do

As our Group Product Manager Data Science, you will lead the development of our forecasting machine learning models and to oversee a team of data scientists and analysts. In this role, you will not only be responsible for translating intricate technical concepts into actionable strategies but also for managing a group of product managers within the data science domain.

Is this about you?

You have a strong strategic mindset, you're able to see the bigger picture and unravel business cases, while willing to roll up your sleeves. You can build strong relationships with business stakeholders and are able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Furthermore you have:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Product Management role and a solid track record of directly managing a team of product managers.
• Proven experience in building and delivering data science products and solutions, ideally in forecasting.
• Proficiency in Data Governance and Data Strategy and strong comprehension of data science methodologies and model lifecycle management.
• Experience using metrics and insights to make data-driven decisions.
• A user centric approach to product development, leading your teams to focus on the genuine end user need above the views of internal stakeholders.

You'll be responsible for

• Build and manage your product teams for data science.
• Lead the development and optimization of forecasting machine learning models.
• Oversee and manage a group of product managers within the data science domain, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Collaborate closely with a team of data scientists, data engineers and analysts to shape and execute the data science strategy.
• Work closely with business teams in the trade department in defining strategy and OKRs.
• Ensure the traceability and alignment of machine learning models with our business objectives.

PM activities while building your team:

• Regular PM activities like creating the product roadmap, writing some user stories, prioritizing and managing backlog.
• Ensure the products uptime, scalability and performance are in line with SLAs and oversee routine maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Define and enhance success metrics for machine learning models & portfolios and the maturity of Product Management practices within the data science team.
• Spearhead the creation of business cases for data science initiatives and stay abreast of developments in the data science and analytics landscape, including recent trends.
